Ophelia Lives - Celinda Olive

Ophelia Lives

Once I heard that phone call, I walked
with lighter feet to the places I was called
to suffer

I sat in counseling, still so fragile,
unable to think much, suspended
in that terrifying faint mad hum

My counselor took my hands, and she felt far away
as I whispered that I don’t know how to live anymore
and she answered, as if it were everything, you are

still here
